The optimized Nordic rubber compound consists of silica, oil, and carbon black. These components ensure higher performance. Silica improves performance on wet surfaces, added oil allows for better handling in winter conditions, while carbon black helps in achieving excellent driving performance (durability). Overall, the new rubber compound of the tire is optimized specifically for Nordic roads.

Efficient handling and braking in all winter conditions with advanced tread pattern

The new VanContact ™ Ice provides effective and safe grip in all winter conditions. For better grip and handling, the tire's sipes lock when steering, stiffening the tread pattern during cornering. This improves handling and braking performance in all snowy and icy driving conditions. Additionally, the deeper area around the stud - the new Ramp Ice Reservoir - collects crushed ice between the road and the stud, allowing the stud to grip the ice better ensuring excellent performance on ice.

Unprecedented performance on ice throughout the lifespan thanks to the new hardened stud

The brand new stud is made of tempered special steel. The stud is seamlessly integrated into the tire's fabric compound to reduce stud loss during the tire's lifespan. Both the tire and studs wear evenly, ensuring excellent interaction between the stud and tread pattern to guarantee maximum performance.
